Voice; action available for New Bark Town

This is Agent Carolina, reporting in from New Bark Town.

[Carolina’s tone is just as militaristic as ever, as though she’s making a call straight from Chorus. She holds the pokégear steady despite the squirming, wiggling growlithe in her other arm. Of course, the growlithe can't be seen, but his little wiggly yips can certainly be heard.]

I understand that I— hey, calm down—

[Yeah, hold that thought. Carolina has to put the growlithe down before she’s going to be able to say anything else.

There's a sigh before she starts to talk again.]

...Sorry about that.

I understand this line is a public channel, so if any of my men are hearing this, please send me your coordinates. Or.

[Right. They can't do that.]

...Just let me know if you're here.

Assuming they aren't here, I’d like to put out a request. I’m in charge of a crew of soldiers who refer to themselves as the reds and blues [(though, the way she says that, it sounds more like she’s their babysitter)] and if I’ve turned up here, it’s just as likely they will, too.

If you hear from anyone going by the names Washington, Church, Tucker, Simmons, Grif, Sarge, or Caboose, please send word to me. They can be a bit of a handful, but I’d really appreciate it.

[That last bit is said with a hint of an affectionate smile in her voice.]

In any case, thank you in advance, and it’s… nice to meet you all. I’m sure we’re not all here under the best of circumstances… but…

[She sounds lost for a moment, as if searching for the next thing to say.]

Anyway. Thank you for your time, and if… anyone is experienced with the pokémon ‘growlithe’, I’d appreciate any pointers.

Agent Carolina, signing out.

[but before she can disconnect..]

Hey, what are you-- No, don't bite that! What are you doi--

[As for action, Carolina can be found just outside New Bark, glaring at the ledges.]

Well, first of all, expect a lot more fur. We're talking at least six feet of it. Arcanines are... kinda huge.

[Big enough to ride on, even, which definitely adds to their appeal. Riku prefers flying, but sometimes it's good to stick close to the ground.]

They're also about twice as fluffy, so expect to do a lot of brushing. Constantly. They can be pretty high maintenance.

Yep. About as tall as me, and that's just the average.

[That's shoulder height, too, not length. Giant dogs for mounts? Even though Riku's more of a cat person, there's still a bit of a smirk tugging at his lips.]

And it's not a matter of when. You need a Fire Stone to do it, but I don't recommend rushing into it, or you'll miss out on some pretty cool moves.

Basically, if you evolve a Pokémon by stone, they get stronger, but they stop learning moves by level up. That's why you're better off waiting until they stop learning all their level up moves. I want to say around level 50? It's been a while.

[Gosh, he sounds like a nerd, doesn't he? He covers his face with his hand for a moment, slightly sheepish.]

Good. It'll make things a lot easier, especially if you keep him active on your team. The way I see it, you can never have too many moves.

[But he's kinda getting ahead of himself, so he stops and waves his hand.]

Anyway, you had any luck finding those friends of yours?

[It's probably been long enough that at least some people would've tuned in.]

Like, what? People who died? People from different timelines? I'd say it's pretty standard. There's even people who used to be talking ponies, but they got shoved into human bodies.

[He says it all calmly, without even batting an eye, like this is normal... but he's also accustomed to the weirdness of this world.]

Yeah... That's usually how it works.

[He sighs, looking away and rubbing his neck.]

But this world's different. Here, you can't die... or climb ledges, apparently. Don't ask me how it works, 'cause nobody knows.

You already tried, huh? Well, if you can catch a Skiddo or a Gogoat, you might be able to get around them. Guess goats here just have magical ledge-defying powers.

[It's said with an equal amount of deadpan, his expression equally dry.]

And I'd say it depends on how those people would adapt. There's a lot you can do with Pokémon, and if they're the kinda people who blow up buildings for fun, then you might have something to worry about.
